What you need to know about the Oilers’ draft picks


The Edmonton Oilers were the lone Canadian team not to have a pick in the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft.

Here is a look at all their picks:

58th Overall: C Rudolfs Berzkalns

2025-26 Team: Muskegon Lumberjacks, USHL

Stat Line: 13G-12A-25PTS in 48 games

The six-foot-four Latvian has played in the past two world junior championships. He was tendered by Muskegon in 2023. Berzkalns plans to play NCAA hockey at Boston College.

84th Overall: F Malcom Gästrin

2025-26 Team: MoDo, Swedish junior

Stat Line: 9G-16A-25PTS in 24 games

The six-foot winger averaged more than a point a game in the Swedish junior ranks. He also played four games at the men’s level.

133rd Overall: D Andrew Robinson

2025-26 Team: Windsor Spitfires, OHL

Stat Line: 9G-15A-24PTS in 63 games

The six-foot blue-liner was a plus-36 for a division champion in the OHL. He was named to the OHL’s second all-rookie team and is committed to Providence College for the 2027-28 season.

180th Overall: C Caden Harvey

2025-26 Team: Windsor Spitfires, OHL

Stat Line: 11G-23A-34PTS in 68 games

The six-foot-one Pennsylvania native moved to the OHL last season after playing with the U.S. National Development Program and in the USHL the prior campaign. He helped the U.S. under-18 team win the Hlinka Gretzky Cup last year and is committed to Penn State for 2027-28.

212th Overall: G Ryan Cameron

2025-26 Team: Cedar Rapids Roughriders, USHL

Stat Line: 24-11-5, 2.92 GAA, .882 SV%

The six-foot-two American goalie jumped up from the NAHL last season. He’ll play for the USHL’s Sioux Falls Stampede next season before joining Boston College ahead of the 2027-28 season.
