Davante Adams is getting his wish to stay on the West Coast after all.
The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is signed with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, the team announced.
The deal is for two years and worth up to $46 million with $26 million guaranteed, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.
The deal includes $26 million guaranteed, Rapoport added.
Because Adams was released by the New York Jets, he was free to sign before the official tampering period begins on Monday.
Releasing Adams will cost the Jets $8.3 million in dead-cap money, according to overthecap.com.
Adams heads to a Rams team that is still looking to move on from long-time receiver Cooper Kupp. The 31-year-old Kupp announced in February that the Rams were seeking a trade for him.
Adams’ arrival in L.A. almost certainly means the end of Kupp’s tenure with the Rams.
Adams caught 67 passes for 854 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games with the Jets. He also had 18 catches for 209 yards and a TD in three games with the Raiders last year before joining New York, giving him five straight seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving.
For his career, Adams has 957 receptions for 11,844 yards and 103 touchdowns and has been named to the All-Pro First team three times.
He will now look to win the first Super Bowl of his career with Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and the Rams, who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round last season.
