One-time interim welterweight titleholder Colby Covington and red-hot rising contender Joaquin Buckley have been tasked with the final main event assignment of 2024 with the pair facing off at a UFC Fight Night in Tampa, Fla.
Covington has regularly competed in title fights during his UFC career, while Buckley can inch closer to his first if he’s able to extend his active winning streak to six in a row.
The five-rounder featuring two of the most talented and talkative fighters in the weight class is preceded by a featherweight co-main event between Billy Quarantillo and longtime fan favourite Cub Swanson.
The 13-bout card from Amalie Arena also features flyweight contenders Manel Kape and Bruno Silva meeting in what should be an action-packed 125-pound matchup plus a slew of fighters known for their finishing capabilities.
