Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua leaves practice with knee injury

Puka Nacua’s injury-plagued sophomore season appears to have hit yet another obstacle.

The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver left practice early on Thursday with a knee injury, according to a team spokesperson.

Nacua, 23, will be listed as limited on the injury report ahead of the Rams’ road game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, per the Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue.

The fifth-round pick in 2023 took the league by storm as a rookie, racking up 105 receptions for 1,486 yards — both rookie records — and six touchdowns through 17 games. Nacua’s stellar play earned him a Pro Bowl nod in his first year as he finished second in offensive Rookie of the Year voting.

His follow-up campaign hasn’t been nearly as successful however as Nacua has only made two appearances for the Rams through seven games. The BYU product entered training camp with a knee injury and then left Los Angeles’ season opener against the Detroit Lions, eventually going on injured reserve.

The Rams welcomed Nacua back in Week 7 against the Vikings and he immediately reminded fans of what he’s capable of. The star receiver caught seven passes for 106 yards in a 30-20 victory.

Now the 3-4 Rams will have to possibly take on their NFC West rival in the Seahawks without Nacua on Sunday.
