What a storybook end to our childhood! John Cena is stepping down once and for all. Money in The Bank took a pleasantly melancholic turn with the 16-time world champion, gracing the ring with his iconic music resonating through the Scotiabank arena. The Champ appeared in a red outfit and immediately stunned the crowd, announcing his inevitable retirement plan. Leaving no space for his fans to scratch their heads about what next could be on the card for the legend, Cena roughly gave away his post-retirement endeavors as well.
Since an auspicious summer day back in 2002, The man, the legend, the Cenation leader handed us a lot of striking memories to look back at throughout his decades-long WWE journey. Cena almost took a semi-retirement in 2020 from the squared circle, but couldn’t stay away for long. The 47-year-old made various appearances in a part-time capacity as he juggled a thriving Hollywood career. After a storied WWE tenure, the veteran chose the MITB stage to bid a permanent goodbye to his fans. His farewell tour comprises of the Elimination Chamber 2025, Royal Rumble 2025, and WM 2025 being his full and final match. The 47-year-old megastar said he will be fully focused on his acting career, including movies and TV shows going forward.
