Grant Hill Breaks Silence on Kawhi Leonard’s Exit From Team USA Ahead of Canada Clash

The managing director of the current USA Men’s National basketball team, Grant Hill, has put together a roster of a scorers like LeBron James and sharp shooters like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum, among others, for securing USA’s gold spree at the Paris Olympics. However, one of the key pieces of his Dream team, Kawhi Leonard, has withdrawn from the ambitious pack treading for gold. About two hours ago, USA Basketball gave the aforementioned update to the fans on their official X handle. Just an hour later, the team found out Leonard’s replacement as ESPN reported that Derrick White from Boston Celtics is taking up Kawhi’s place.

Even Grant Hill also reacted to Kawhi’s situation as he stated, per ESPN insider Tim Bontemps, “I want to thank Kawhi for his commitment to the US Men’s National Team. He earned the opportunity to represent the United States, but USA Basketball and Clippers leadership felt it’s important to allow Kawhi to prepare for the NBA season.” Interestingly, Kawhi has got out just before USA’s first exhibition match against Canada on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Center.

This is a developing story…
