Dana White Hands $26 Million in Total Payout as Alex Pereira Takes Home Over $3 Million With Compliance Pay at UFC 303

Despite the fallout of multiple fights, UFC 303 was one of the most successful events for the promotion this year. The finale between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka had the entire fanbase glued to their seats. But that’s not where the story ended. After garnering more than $15.9 million in gates, UFC 303 ensured that the total compliance pay to date went beyond $26 million. 

Needless to say, the fighters who took the spotlight at UFC 303 pocketed quite a big amount in compliance payout. The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance pay is a plan that replaces the previous payments made under the UFC Athlete Outfitting Policy and includes several items that are put under the Fighter Code of Conduct. Dana White lets fighters enjoy hefty pay as total compliance pay to date skyrockets

The purse for UFC 303 was quite big. The year-to-date total compliance pay was $3,948,500 and the exact number for program-to-date total compliance pay was $26,685,500. In case you are wondering how much the compliance pay totaled for the event, it was about $311,500. Without a doubt, it’s an amount that excites many. 

In a recent interview with The Sportster, the man with hands of stone confirmed that he negotiated the UFC 303 payout to be the largest one in his entire career as a martial artist. Pereira reportedly took home a hefty amount of $3 million, and this includes a sum of $42 thousand that the fighter received as compliance pay. On the other hand, the Czech Samurai received a base pay of $1 million with a compliance pay of $32 thousand.

But what about the other fighters? Diego Lopes earned $4,500 while Dan Ige, despite being defeated, was paid $16,000. Roman Dolidze pocketed $6,000 and his opponent, Anthony Smith got $21.000. Both Macy Chiasson and Mayra Bueno Silva got their wallets thickened by $11,000. And the man who opened the main card, Ian Machado Garry received $6,000, while the newcomer at UFC, Michael ‘Venom’ Page pocketed $4,000.

Lopes displayed immense courage as he took on the fight against Ige after Ortega was forced to pull out of the fight hours before their scheduled fight. Without a doubt, the fight fans commended Dan Ige for arriving at the venue at such short notice. But the applause also reached Lopes as he defeated Ige via unanimous decision. But the shocker came in a crazy tweet.

The Brazilian mixed martial artist put forth the struggles that he had to go through as he had to swap between three different weight divisions for the event. Thereafter, he wrote, “UFC gave us the option to not accept. I could have gotten paid without fighting. I could have said no to the fight.” However, the Brazilian was up for the challenge and wanted to stay true to his words. He continued, “I was weighing 161lbs. but like I said. anyone, anytime, anywhere. In whatever weight.”  Despite the adversities, the featherweight star won and reportedly received a $50,000 win bonus in addition to his $86,000 salary.
