2024 Amundi Evian Championship: Round 1 Tee Timings and Pairings

En rose with anticipation. The French Alps await the arrival of 132 players from 28 different countries. Overlooking the beautiful Lake Geneva on July 11, LET and LPGA pros will showcase their golf talents at the fourth major of the season—the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship. The crème de la crème of women’s golf, including nine of the top 10 players, will be teeing off at the Evian Resort Golf Club.

Among them is Nelly Korda, who aims to redeem herself after disappointing performances in her last two major outings, missing the cut in both. But who is she teeing off with? Golf enthusiasts can find out who she is paired with, as the tee times and pairings for the first round of the tournament have been released.

The opening round is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. CET, with groups of three playing on the greens. Two trios will tee off concurrently at all the decided starting times, beginning with the group of Isabella Fierro, Olivia Cowan, Savannah Grewal, and So Mi Lee, Anne Van Dam, and Stephanie Kyriacou teeing off at #1 and #10, respectively.

Who are the stars missing from the star-studded field of the 2024 Amundi Evian Championship?

Headlining the list of absentees is Lexi Thompson, who had a final chance to prove herself on the French greens before retirement. The LPGA pro’s history with the event has been rocky for some time. It reached a boiling point in 2019 when she missed the cut in the same. After expressing her disappointment in an Instagram post, she chose never to return to the Evian Championship.

Expressing her situation, she said, “I mean, I can play, but the difference is just, play with the pain or play without the pain.” She took the decision so that she could be well and healthy for the upcoming Paris Olympics. Additionally, another top golfer, Xiyu Lin, decided not to play in the major. However, the reason for her absence is not clear.

Who do you think will take home the winner’s share from the $8 million prize purse, the largest of 2024? Do you think Nelly Korda will secure her second major win of the year?
