Jayson Tatum’s Worst Fear Could Come True as Jason Kidd’s Controversial Jaylen Brown Statement Divides Celtics Locker Room

The first game of the NBA Finals did not turn out the way Dallas hoped. With a returning Kristaps Porzingis catching fire early, the Mavs seemed to have no response for the Celtics. Realizing that for the Mavs to win this series, it might take more than just on court tactics, head coach Jason Kidd has started to play some mind games to gain an edge over his opponents. Recently calling Jaylen Brown the best player on the Celtics squad, Kidd might have paved the way for Jayson Tatum’s fear to come true as that opinion already seems to have created a divide in their locker room.

Addressing Kidd’s comments, JT seemed rather unfazed by the head coach’s new strategy and said, “We understand people try to drive a wedge between us … This is not our first time at the rodeo.” However, when his teammates were asked the same question, they didn’t seem to be on the same page.

Knowing Jason Kidd all too well, Al Horford laughed and said, “Jason Kidd, man. I see what he’s doing… that man is sneaky.” Meanwhile, Joe Mazzulla told people to “focus on the truth” hinting at Jayson Tatum being a better player than Brown in his opinion. And Jrue Holiday straight up agreed to Kidd’s comments saying, “I don’t think he’s lying.”
