Novak Djokovic almost dodged a bullet! While he showed his brilliance at 37 yesterday, his recent health update has left his fans in serious concern. As the Serb moves to the next round proudly, his fans are worried about whether they will see him in the finals!
A reliable tennis source recently shared news about DJokovic’s latest French Open update on their X platform. “Djokovic says he cannot confirm that he will play on Wednesday: ‘I have had some minor knee issue for few weeks, but no big deal. Then I slipped in 2nd set and I felt pain. I took a lot of painkillers and they started to work, end of 4th. I don’t know if I’ll play QF, we’ll wait and see’- tweeted the source.

While Djokovic’s statement disappointed his fans, the legendary Serb blamed Roland Garros’s Philippe Chatrier court’s conditions for such an injury. Djokovic was playing against Francisco Cerundolo yesterday when he suffered a knee injury in the second set of their match. Now that the world’s number one ATP star is really bothered about his pain and feels confused about his next round, his next opponent, Casper Rudd, might get a chance to make a swift move into the semifinals without much fight. After all, who wouldn’t mark Novak Djokovic as a strong opponent for the Roland Garros quarterfinals?
Nevertheless, fans wish Djokovic a speedy recovery as they wish to see the Serb unleashing his magic on Paris’s clay court till the finals.
