Chad Gable’s Tony Khan Reason for Re-Signing With WWE Reportedly Revealed

Chad Gable is one of WWE’s most skilled wrestlers. His supporters are overjoyed that the man has re-signed a contract with WWE. There was considerable anticipation that he might join AEW rather than WWE, but that did not happen, and the reason behind that is out.

WWE has done an excellent job of promoting Chad Gable this year. He presents a fascinating persona with his faction Alpha Academy and is part of an exciting program alongside current Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. As Dave Meltzer recently revealed, the storyline with the Alpha Academy was the reason Gable did not want to quit WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE has treated Chad Gable well and provided him with a wonderful deal, which is why he wants to stay with the Stamford-based company. Meltzer also likened the Gable situation to that of Ricochet and claimed that Ricochet would be presented well if he went to AEW, but Gable was already getting presented well at WWE.

Dave Meltzer stated, “I would have figured he was gonna re-sign. He’s getting the best push of his career, he got a great contract offer. There’s no certainties elsewhere. It’s not like it’s Ricochet who probably is gonna do better in AEW than he did in WWE, financially and from a push standpoint. Whereas with Gable… he might, they might respect him because he’s such a freakin’ awesome wrestler, and he might get in there in the higher mix and work with the Okada-type guys….. But probably not.”

As Chad Gable lost his title match and failed to win the Intercontinental Championship again at Clash at The Castle, what is next for him?

Sami Zayn successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship at Clash at The Castle, but it mainly happened because Chad Gable was distracted. Gable was focused on his partners Otis and Maxine, who were dumping him in the ring alone and it caused distraction for Gable who ended up losing the fight despite competing well.

On the upcoming Monday Night Raw, the questions concerning Gable and Alpha Academy will be answered, as the group appears to be breaking apart. Fans believe that a match between Chad Gable and Otis will take place soon, but no one knows when.
