Randi Mahomes, Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes’ mom, recently made a touching retirement announcement. She shared an IG story, “Rude that you’re leaving, but OK. Happy Retirement, Randi. We will miss you so much. We love you! FAMILY FOREVER!” Randi captioned: “After 20 years, it’s time to take this leap of faith. #blessed #Godsplan”

Having spent almost 20 years at Hollytree Country Club as an event organizer, Randi says goodbye to two decades of hard work. After divorcing former MLB pitcher Patrick Mahomes Sr in 2006, she joined the club to find stability and purpose. Randi’s knack for planning meetings, weddings, and golf outings was a defining feature of her time at Hollytree. 

In a recent tweet, Mahomes’ mother alluded: “This job isn’t just about coordinating events—it’s about independence & setting an example of hard work & discipline for my kids.” Randi further emphasized how she was blessed to have this job after “getting divorced and needing some foundation.” Today, her June 28 retirement means she gets to spend more time with her children and be ‘grandi’ to her grandkids.

Reflecting on her 20-year career as an event planner, Randi is ready to welcome new adventures. The Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes’ mother’s pivotal role in his NFL career began with steering him away from MLB prospects, setting him on a path to three Super Bowls by age 28. As a single mom post-divorce, she balanced multiple jobs to support her kids. 

In a recent interview on The Mom Game Podcast, Mama Mahomes spoke about her management style, alluding, “I, like, threaten everybody [at work] to ensure they follow my lead.” Randi also expressed in a conversation on Fan Favorite with Kent Hance that her biggest regret is working two jobs for a whole decade, as she missed spending quality time with family.

Beyond these chores, Randi ventured into entrepreneurship with “QB Producer,” offering stadium-approved merchandise. She sells high-quality hats, bags, and other branded accessories for game days. And, as of today, her business works well in terms of sales.
