The duo of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns had successfully managed to get the Timberwolves to their first Conference Finals in 20 years. However, it is at that stage that they have now fallen into a precarious position, as the Dallas Mavericks hold a 3-1 lead against them. One more win, and Luka Doncic and Co will be the ones heading to the final stage. Knowing how important the next few days will be, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green chose to offer some advice as to how one of the Timberwolves stars can bring a change in his mentality.
A few hours ago, Green released another episode of his long-running podcast. During the same, he highlighted that when he and his team are down in a series, he doesn’t waste any time thinking how he’s going to be dressed up on the basketball court. Furthermore, the last thing that would be on his mind in this situation is to question how he looks in his eyes and probably that of others. Even if he was clad in all black, from head to toe, his only focus was on winning the name. This mentality is something that the Warriors star believes would help Karl-Anthony Towns immensely.
“I’m going to war. Like this ain’t about how I look in the tunnel,” said Green. “Kat should probably take a page out of that book……… Sometimes, there just ain’t time to think about that, and like, that’s something that I do when our backs are against the wall. It’s maybe failed me once or twice, but it usually comes through for me. Because, winning is a mindset. Winning is a mentality”.
This is a developing story.
