Daycare Worker Accused Of Assaulting Toddlers


Roommates, Latasha Mullings is at the center of a disturbing investigation in Florida. And, authorities say surveillance footage from a daycare class revealed a pattern of troubling incidents involving multiple young children.

Daycare Worker Faces Multiple Battery Charges After Daycare Incident

Latasha Mullings, 41, is facing 11 counts of misdemeanor battery and one count of misdemeanor assault with intent to do violence following an investigation tied to Mustard Seed Kidz in West Melbourne. On May 27, a parent alerted the school director to allegations that a child had been inappropriately struck in the classroom. And, it triggered an internal review and immediate notification to police.

Furthermore, investigators reviewed classroom surveillance footage spanning May 19 through May 26. And, officials say they uncovered multiple concerning interactions involving several children. According to law enforcement, the footage allegedly shows repeated physical incidents involving children between the ages of 2 and 4, escalating concerns about conduct inside the classroom during that time period.

Footage Alleges Disturbing Classroom Incidents

Authorities further allege the video captured instances of aggressive physical contact, including striking and other forceful interactions with young students, many of whom appeared visibly distressed. The findings reportedly led administrators to terminate Mullings’ employment immediately and notify both law enforcement and state child welfare officials as the investigation moved forward.
