Tyla Explains Video Of Her Near Rihanna At The Met Gala

Met Gala Monday happened this week, and all the major stars pulled up in designer drip for the dress code “Fashion Is Art.” A video has since surfaced of Rih and Tyla standing a few steps apart, but not interacting. In the clip, it looks like Rihanna could be speaking to nearby security, while Tyla stands still near another man.

Tyla explained the moment in a TikTok video, revealing that she first met Rihanna last year. However, Rih allegedly cut the moment short and said her “baby daddy was calling her,” according to Ty.

“Everyone knows I love Rih. So I met her last year and she was cool…I think she was occupied,” she said. “I went up to her, I was like hey…she was like hey, my baby daddy’s calling me and then she left and I was like Ohh. So I don’t know, I fault awkward I don’t know how to say hi if I feel like someone’s busy.”

Tyla said she was waiting for her car in the video with Rihanna at the Met Gala. She added a screenshot of herself standing still. She said she felt Rih was busy, like the last time.

“When we do speak, if we do end up speaking ever, I want it to be like calm, so we both can just, you know, vibe and talk nicely.”

‘Water’ Singer Reacts To Internet Weighing In

In the comment section of the TikTok video, Tyla liked a comment that said, “Nothing about what Tyla said implied that Rih was rude to her. What are y’all talking about?” She liked another comment that said, “She saw that she was not in the mood and respected her.”
