Genuine Love For Rudy Gobert Sends Draymond Green Down A Risky Rabbit Hole: “Why You Fake Like That?”

With an incredible performance last night, the Minnesota Timberwolves were able to save themselves from the humiliation of getting swept by the Mavs. While most people credited Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns for the win because of their high scoring performance, Draymond Green was the one who was seeing the game within the game and identified an unsung hero. Usually critical of Rudy Gobert, Draymond surprisingly moved away from that stance after watching the last game and expressed his genuine admiration for the French big man. However, that led him into a risky rabbit hole of singing praises of a more polarizing figure in the league, official Scott Foster.

Addressing the Wolves’ victory on The Draymond Green Show, Green commended Rudy for setting the tone early in the game by being physical with the Mavs players and not letting them get easy buckets. “I see it. I respect it… Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert set the tone defensively.” Then, he went into a trajectory of last night’s game official Scott Foster not calling “ticky tack” fouls and not disrupting the intensity of an elimination game.

Diving deeper into the officiating talks, Draymond revealed how much he liked being officiated by Scott because of how transparent he is while doing the job, “Scott one of my favorites coz I know what I’m gonna get.” Meanwhile, he called out other officials who at one moment have a decent conversation with him and suddenly during the game give out technical fouls. “Why you fake like that?” Green questioned.
