KYIV: Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday thanked Washington for an enormous new package deal of arms and munitions for Kyiv with Western allies set to debate additional army help to the war-torn nation.
“Thanks” US President Joe Biden for offering Ukraine “with one other highly effective protection help package deal price $2.5 billion,” Zelenskyy wrote in English on Twitter.
The Ukrainian chief hailed the Stryker armoured personnel carriers, Bradley Infantry Combating Automobiles and Avenger air defence methods included within the package deal as an “necessary assist in our battle towards the aggressor”.
