RIO DELL, Calif. (AP) — Tens of hundreds stay with out energy after a robust earthquake rocked a rural stretch of the Northern California coast. Twelve accidents have been reported from the magnitude 6.4 earthquake that hit early Tuesday (Dec. 20, 2022) close to Ferndale. Pacific Fuel & Electrical has restored energy to about 40,000 prospects. Ferndale is a small group some 200 miles northwest of San Francisco and near the Pacific coast. Officers say there was some harm to buildings and infrastructure, however the scale of injury is minimal in comparison with the power of the quake.
