Early box office tracking indicates that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is on track for a successful debut weekend.
In exciting news for Spider-Verse fans, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is poised for a spectacular box office performance, according to news/spider-man-across-spider-verse-box-office-tracking-1235485329/”>The Hollywood Reporter. Early box office tracking suggests that the film is expected to swing into theaters with a domestic debut of $70 million to $80 million during the June 2-4 weekend.
Released in 2018, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Vese introduced audiences to a new dimension of the Spider-Man universe, where multiple Spider-People from different universes join forces to save the multiverse from destruction. The movie received widespread critical acclaim for its stunning animation, engaging storyline and memorable characters.
The first movie in the Spider-Verse franchise grossed a whopping $384.3 million worldwide against an estimated production budget of $90 million. The movie also won several prestigious awards, including Best Animated Feature at the 91st Academy Awards, making it the first non-Disney or Pixar film to win the trophy since Rango in 2011.
Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson from a screenplay written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Dave Callaham, Across The Spider-Verse also features the voice talents of Jake Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, Jason Schwartzman, Rachel Dratch, Shea Whigham and Jorma Taccone.
