Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricketers are enjoying their break from cricket as the first test got over in three days here in Dominica. The entire team preferred staying at the team hotel rather than going for sight-seeing and exploring the beautiful tourist spots in this island. The place the Indian team is staying i.e., the InterContinental Hotel in Portsmouth is situated in a beautiful location overseeing the Caribbean Sea. Most of the players including the likes of Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma have shared some nice photos on their social media handles. Here are some of the social media posts of the Indian cricketers.
The reason why most Indian cricketers may have decided to stay in the hotel is the distance to the different tourist spots. The hotel as we have already shown in one of our earlier videos is about an hour drive from the town. So, the players preferred staying in the hotel and enjoying the beauty of nature. It is not known if the team management have any plans for having a team bonding session on Sunday. It will not be surprising if few players prefer going for some sight-seeing to nearby-by places like Titou Gorge or Scottshead.
The Indian players did have some gym and pool session in the hotel. Rohit and his boys will be leaving for Port of Spain in Trinidad in a chartered flight on Monday, July 17. Since, it will be a travel day there won’t be any training session. The second test match will start at the Queens Park Oval from July 20 and it will be a special occasion as well as it will be the 100 th test match between the two-cricket playing nation.
