As we get closer to the August 1 trade deadline, many MLB trade rumors will continue to surface.

Most of the contending teams will be looking to buy players from all the bad teams.

The players most likely to be traded are the ones with expiring contracts at season’s end.

One team that is always aggressive at the trade deadline is the Los Angeles Dodgers.

They are always in contention and are willing to spend money to bring in the best of the best.

According to Jon Morosi, the Dodgers are showing interest in Chicago White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito.

The Dodgers have been crushed with injuries to their starting staff this year.

Coming into the season they were already down Walker Buehler, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Then they lost Dustin May for the season, while Clayton Kershaw and Julio Urias have spent time on the injured list.

They need to add another starting pitcher for their playoff push.

This is where Giolito comes in.

Giolito is a free agent at season’s end but the Dodgers have never been shy to add rentals.

The 28-year-old righty has been a workhorse for Chicago this year.

He has made 19 starts and thrown 112.1 innings.

Also, he has a respectable ERA of 3.45 on the year.

There is no question he could help a team like the Dodgers over the second half.

This is the first of many trade rumors we will hear surrounding the Dodgers this month.
