Following the defeat of USMNT against Uruguay, Gio Reyna took a moment to contemplate the disappointing outcome of the tournament. During an interview, Reyna expressed his thoughts on where the true responsibility lies for USMNT’s inability to progress beyond the group stage. “I don’t think this tournament really had anything to do with the staff or the tactics or the way we play,” Reyna stated.

He went on to add, “I think it was more individual mistakes. The staff can only do so much”. Acknowledging the lackluster performance, Gio Reyna took ownership by stating, “At the end of the day, the players didn’t do enough to go through.”
