Shaquille O’Neal‘s 18-year-old daughter Me’arah O’Neal is all set to start the next big chapter of her life, and the one most excited about this is none other than Shaunie Henderson. At the same time, one of Shaq’s biggest chapters in life is about to come to an end, with TNT hinting at the end of Inside the NBA. Is this what we call the circle of life? All good things must come to an end, and all great stories need a promising start. With Me’arah stepping foot into Florida, the O’Neal family can now shift focus on their daughter’s journey to greatness.

Me’arah shared on her Instagram yesterday, “Pray 4 strength. pray 4 resilience”, along with a video and a few pictures of her working on the court. Shaunie and Me’arah’s sisters motivated the young baller with positive comments, hinting at something big that was about to happen. The Los Angeles Lakers icon’s ex-wife wrote, “My girl! You got this, I promise!”.

Just as expected, Me’arah finally took the next big step in her life, as she has now shifted to Florida to start her college basketball career. Shaq’s daughter will represent the Florida Gators in the upcoming college basketball season. Me’arah shared her thoughts on making it to Florida, I’m lit. Shaunie, who dropped her 18-year-old daughter at college, spoke, “I have moved kids into college and this experience has been the first one where I—feel comfortable. I don’t think I’m gonna cry when I drive away. I mean it has just been great from start to finish”, hinting that Florida is going to be a great second home for Me’arah. Also, the young baller did not move alone. She was with her future teammates, who also got a warm welcome.

Me’arah will be having a freshman teammate in her first year. Kylee Kitts, a 6’4 guard from Hagerty High School, shared her thoughts on moving in for college. Kitts is a popular figure in Florida. During her time with the Faith Christian Academy 2022, she led them to their first Florida High School Athletic Association state championship. So Me’arah will not be the only successful star there.

There will also be Alexia Gassett, who has joined the Gators after playing two years for the University of Louisville. The 6’2 forward played 24 games in her Sophomore year, and 8 games in her freshman year for the Redshirt.

Talent is not a problem in Florida right now. Me’arah, Kitts, and Gassett will be playing together for the next few years. 18-year-old Me’arah is following the exact same path as her father. Let us wait and watch if she can reach the same level as Shaq in college basketball, and later in the WNBA.
