ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Super League Points Table (May 13): Visitors Bangladesh have defeated the poor hosts Ireland by 3 wickets in the second ODI of Bangladesh tour of Ireland 2023 at County Ground, Chelmsford on 12th May (Friday).

Bangladesh won the toss and invited Ireland to bat first after the match was reduced to 45 overs due to rain. Bangladesh got the perfect start with a couple of wickets but excellent 140 runs knock from Tector and 74 runs from Dockrell led Ireland to 319 runs on board.

Bangladesh lost Tamim and Litton Das at the beginning of the chase but veteran all-rounder Shakib-al-Hassan and youngster Najmul Hossain Shanto took charge and started the counter-attack. Bangladesh chases down the Target in the final over and won the game by 3 wickets.

Najmul Hossain Shanto was the hero of Bangladesh’s innings as he scored 117 runs in just 93 balls and was awarded Player of the Match.
