A local TV station’s production manager stumbled upon an archive interview with this future rock god from a teachers’ strike 50 years ago.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, US singer Prince Rogers Nelson was attending Lincoln Junior High school in April 1970.

He did the interview with CBS local station WCCO about the walkout, which was found by Matt Liddy, the production manager at the station.

A flabbergasted childhood friend and a historian confirmed the boy was indeed Prince.

According to the coroner’s report, the singer’s death in 2016 was from an accidental fentanyl overdose.
