At one point in time, DeSean Jackson was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, with blazing speed that was a nightmare to cover for opposing cornerbacks and safeties.

At 36, the same can’t be said for Jackson, who has bounced around the league after becoming a household name with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson has found it challenging to find a new home in the NFL after stints with the Eagles, Washington Commanders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and Baltimore Ravens.

Even though it looks like Jackson’s best days are behind him, and the phone has stopped ringing with interested NFL teams trying to sign him, the veteran wide receiver refuses to walk away from the game that he loves, as he made it clear that he’s not retiring via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Although he claims he’s not retiring right now, he may not have liked the way the news came out of a possible retirement in the works rather than him announcing it himself or maybe plans to do it in a certain way, like signing a one-day contract with the Eagles.

The fact that Jackson used Eagles emojis in this message may be a telling sign that he plans to do something with the team that drafted him back in 2008.

Jackson had the bulk of his success with the Eagles, and if he were going to retire as a member of any team he played for, that would likely be his choice.
