War 2 teaser: Hrithik Roshan locks horns with nemesis Jr NTR

India’s best soldier, Kabir, is back with a new mission and a more deadly nemesis. Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani’s War 2 teaser was released today, and it instantly generated frenzy across the internet. The 1 minute 34 seconds long teaser was shared by Hrithik on X (formerly Twitter), welcoming Jr. NTR to the franchise.

The teaser showcases Hrithik Roshan reprising his character of Kabir in a meaner, darker, bulkier, and more menacing avatar. He is seen upping the stakes with visuals that leave a lasting impact on viewers. The actor is seen sword-fencing, going toe-to-toe with a wolf, flaunting massive biceps, delivering adrenaline-pumping car chases, and landing mean punches. It opens with Jr NTR’s character saying, “I’ve been watching you since a while, Kabir. India’s best soldier. RAW’s best agent. You were. Not anymore. You do not know me. But soon…you will. Get ready for war!” The teaser then introduces JR NTR’s character and offers a glimpse of his high-octane action scenes with Hrithik. We also get a sneak peek into Kiara Advani’s character, although details weren’t shared about her role. In one scene, she flaunted her perfectly toned body in a bikini. Another scene saw her dance with Hrithik.

Hrithik Roshan originally led YRF’s third spy universe film, titled War, in 2019; the film emerged as an all-time blockbuster and the highest-grossing film of the year. War 2 continues Kabir’s tryst with thrill and action against the backdrop of the spy franchise, this time featuring Jr. NTR as the antagonist. War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji, who collaborated with Hrithik Roshan for the first time. The film is set to release worldwide in theatres on August 14, 2025.
