Was Chad Gable Really Shot Dead by Uncle Howdy’s Wyatt 6?

The sinister leader of the Wyatt Sicks, Uncle Howdy, marked his return tonight on Monday Night RAW. And his first victim? Chad Gable. In one of the camera shots, fans could see the leader of the Alpha Academy knocked out with blood gushing out of his head. In what appears to be very similar to a gunshot wound. And fans surely took it seriously, as there were updates on the same on Gable’s Wikipedia page after the show announced he was dead. But did he actually get killed?

The WWE Universe loves to play pretend. After all, it is the real fun behind being a pro wrestling fan. Believing that all your favorite superstars are not playing any gimmicks but are actually what we see on the screens, while the storylines were too were believed to be 100% true. The Undertaker got resurrected, Kane was the phenom’s real brother, and Papa Shango had real magic powers.

However, things changed with the modern era, where we get to see superstars act and react out of their gimmicks. Discussing openly about their storylines, killing the essence of the Kayfabe. But fans decided that they’d try to bring Kayfabe back into the tech era as well, after the latest segment featuring Uncle Howdy and Chad Gable. As Gable was not actually killed by the sinister being. But it was all a move made by the fans.

Fans keep the Kayfabe alive for Chad Gable

After the show, some fans decided to bring back the era of Kayfabe by updating Chad Gable’s Wikipedia page. And while many would expect it to have an extra line or two about being attacked by Uncle Howdy, things took an unexpected turn as he was announced dead instead. As his new Wikipedia read, “Charles Edward Betts (born March 8, 1986) (died June 17, 2024),” and the reason behind his death was written as, “He unfortunately died by gunshot wound, he was killed by a member of the Wyatt 6, most likely Uncle Howdy.”

Now, isn’t that sweet? Concerned fans took the time to update Gable’s Wikipedia for him. However, we are sad to break the rules of kayfabe by announcing that Gable indeed isn’t dead. And it was most likely not a gunshot wound but an injury caused by being hit. So Gable would be returning. As for his Wikipedia, it is back to normal with the correct information that he is alive.

But it would be fun to see if the WWE manages to create an angle where he may pretend to be dead. Like the one WWE creatives prepared for Vince McMahon as his car blew up on live programming. Making everyone believe that the then-WWE CEO was indeed dead. Though the WWE could not carry on the storyline due to the real-life tragedy involving Chris Benoit, But they do have an opportunity to do it now. What do you think?
