Warren Sapp Complies With Coach Prime’s Strict Laws To Set An Example For Colorado Players To Follow

It’s only been a few months since Warren Sapp joined the Colorado Buffaloes and it looks like the magic and the ways of Coach Prime have enveloped him already. The upcoming season is really important for the Colorado Buffaloes and as such, Sapp is getting with the program to truly maximize the potential of the team and also grow as a coach.

If there’s one thing that can be said surely about the Colorado Buffaloes, is that they stand high in the world of social media and “clicks”, as Cormani McClain once said. But what’s also ironic is the rule that Deion Sanders employs within the locker room as well as the cafeteria. As per Coach Prime, everyone should face each other and make conversation while their phones are kept inside the mini trash cans. Now, Sapp is also following the ways of Coach Prime as he gradually immerses himself in the routine of the Buffaloes.

Warren Sapp follows in Deion’s footsteps about phone usage

On the 9th June episode of ‘Thee Pregame Show,‘ Uncle Neely joined on as an esteemed guest to talk about all things related to the Colorado Buffaloes. Both he and BiggDogg Chico engaged in a conversation where the latter drew Neely’s attention to the method that Colorado has been employing to reduce the players’ screen time.

The team and the staff included, put their phones in a little container and talked to each other without the obstruction of a screen between them. This method was first introduced by Deion and here’s what his trusted accomplice, Uncle Neely, had to say about Sapp adapting to it. As per Neely, “I had lunch with Warren Sapp, a Hall of Famer today and he has two phones and both of them were in the container and he was talking to players at the table.”

In a generation that is commandeered with the constant tipping-tapping on the screen, it’s almost bizarre that the Colorado players are adhering to this rule. Yet, Neely says that there are hardly any complaints or bickering about Prime’s laws, and furthermore, people “truly do understand what he’s trying to accomplish by doing this.” With all that said, it didn’t look like Deion’s own son, Shilo Sanders, seemed too happy with the idea.

The team looks to be training hard for the upcoming season since they ended up at the bottom of the points table with a 4-8 record last year. With new additions like Jordan Seaton and Warren Sapp as a graduate assistant, Coach Prime is redefining the squad to have a better outcome than their 2023 season.

The no-phone rule is being applauded by the fans since it will help in better team-building but the Colorado safety, Shilo, wasn’t a fan of the method. He was heard saying, “Coach Prime is taking it way too far,” in a recent Well Off Media video. Moreover, since this is supposedly the last season that Shedeur, Shilo, and Travis are playing for the Buffs, the stakes have never been higher for Deion to take the team to a CFP top-4 spot, in the name of redemption and prove themselves.
