Lexi Thompson is currently placed at T15 along with her teammate Brooke Henderson at the Dow Championship. The pair have put up a good score on the board at 9-under after the Saturday Foursomes. They will hope to shoot past the toppers on the scoreboard who are ahead of them by 15 strokes so that the LPGA Tour pro will be able to clinch a win on her last official team event on the women’s circuit.

“While it is never easy to say goodbye, it is indeed time,” said an emotional Lexi Thompson as she shared a video on her Instagram account. Back then, she had expressed her desire to enjoy the remainder of the year to make the goals she had set for herself come true; “I’m excited to enjoy the remainder of the year as there are still goals I want to accomplish. I will always look for ways to contribute to the sport and inspire the next generation of golfers. And of course, I look forward to a little time for myself.”

Winning the only official team event on the LPGA Tour before signing off from the game at the end of the year would surely be on her wishlist. And she does have a long day ahead of herself to clinch that dream and take the trophy for herself and Henderson.
