Gloss Up is speaking out about the car accident that led to surgery on her foot. The rapper shared a video on social media and provided more details about what caused the horrific crash.
The 28-year-old artist thought her foot had been amputated following the crash at first. However, her team later shared graphic photos online and confirmed that surgeons were able to save it.

Gloss Up Shares New Video From Hospital Bed
In a video captured by Live Bitez, the ‘Shabooya’ rapper said she was driving on the expressway when the accident occurred.
“I was driving, and I was on the expressway, ” she said. “And mind you, it was dark. Um, it was like probably three o’clock in the morning.”
She added that she saw a black car spin out of control and, despite not speeding, she hit a car “that wasn’t even moving.”
The recording artist added that the airbags deployed, and she “just knew her leg was gone.”
Gloss Up’s surgery went well, and she now has nails, screws, and a rod in her leg. She also joked that after the staff gave her pain medication, she was “high af.”
Gloss Up Originally Thought Her Foot Was Amputated
The recording artist initially thought that her foot had been amputated due to it being nearly severed. She posted on July 12 that her foot had been amputated, as reported by The Shade Room.
“I Almost Lost My Life,” she wrote. “Sadddddddd.” I Have Never In My Life Been In A Car Accident Until Now,” she added. “My Whole Foot Amputated! I’m SAD ASFFFF! It’s My Birthdayyyyy..”
However, her team later posted on her Instagram Stories that surgeons were able to save her foot. They also shared graphic pictures that clearly explain why the Gloss Up thought she’d lost her foot.
The gory pictures showed the severity of her injury, and Gloss Up addressed her mistake while explaining that she wasn’t trying to mislead folks.
“I wasn’t trying to mislead y’all when I said that my leg was amputated,” she said during her recent livestream.
The rapper added that when she tried to exit the vehicle, her leg “was danglin’.”
“So, I don’t think I was misleading you all, cause that’s really what it was,” she said, adding, “It took me so long to get on that stretcher.”
The artist also noted that she asked the paramedics, “Is my leg gone?”
Gloss Up Says The Accident Was ‘Traumatizing’
Gloss Up also added that she had never been in a car accident before, and she was traumatized by the crash.
“That sh*t was just traumatizing,” she said. “That sh*t really was f*ckin’ with me.”
The rapper also noted that her birthday photo shoot was scheduled for the following day and that she still hoped to do it.
