The team of Main Vaapas Aaunga will be hosting a special musical tribute titled Jai ho for the Heroes of the BSF by the one and only musical legend AR Rahman on 7th June at the Attari Border.
As anticipation for Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga continues to build, the film is set to celebrate a special moment that transcends cinema and honours the spirit of our Nation.
In a first-of-its-kind tribute, Padma Bhushan awardee, two-time Academy Award and Grammy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman will perform at the iconic Attari Border on 7th June, paying homage to the brave men and women of the Border Security Force (BSF) who dedicate their lives to safeguarding the nation.
Titled ‘Jai Ho – A Tribute to the Bravehearts’, the special performance by the team of Main Vaapas Aaunga is a heartfelt expression of gratitude and deep respect for the courage, sacrifice and commitment of the Force in protecting India’s borders.
The tribute will take place between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM during the iconic Parade Ceremony at JCP Stadium, Attari Border, bringing together patriotism, music, and emotion in a truly memorable celebration.
Billed as a “charming story of love and longing”, Main Vaapas Aaunga stars Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah alongside Raina.

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga also marks the reunion of the celebrated trio of Ali, Rahman and lyricist Irshad Kamil, who previously collaborated on Rockstar, Tamasha and Amar Singh Chamkila.
Set during the Partition era, the period romantic drama, follows the story of an ailing older man on his deathbed, played by Naseeruddin Shah. His dying wish is to return to his ancestral home in Sargodha (Pakistan). Diljit Dosanjh plays his grandson, who navigates the ghosts of his family’s past and helps piece together the tragic emotional weight carried by his grandfather.
Main Vaapus Aaunga is scheduled to be released in theatres on June 12.
