Top 2026 NFL schedule release videos: Creativity reaches new heights

Although the pre-season is still a couple of months away, it feels as though NFL action is ready to get going.

Free agency has come and gone, the draft is in the rear-view mirror and training camp is about to begin. But between all that? Schedule release day.

For fans, it’s a day that answers many questions.

When is my favourite team coming to town?
How many primetime games is my team playing in?
When is the bye week?

But for the teams, it’s an early start on the competitive nature that drives the NFL.

And with each passing year, one thing becomes clearer: Creativity has no limit when it comes to the schedule release videos.

From big-name celebrity cameos to finding people off the street to turning teams into consumer goods, you never know what the social media crews around the league will come up with.

With that, here are some of the best 2026 schedule release videos from around the NFL.

How can we talk about the top schedule release videos and not include the Los Angeles Chargers at the top? Year after year, the Chargers knock it out of the park with their creativity.

They took it to a new level this season, going with a Halo theme. But it’s not the theme that makes it so special — it’s the smaller details and inside-the-NFL jokes that make it stand out. And the Chargers never hold anything back.

Quite impressive that the Broncos got noted actor and comedian Peyton Manning to star in their schedule release video. Jokes aside, the Broncos did a great job spoofing infomercials and TV shows.

The Chicago Bears went the artistic route, having Rome Odunze do his best Bob Ross impression. It helps that they share a hairstyle, too.

Speaking of Rosses, how about rapper Rick Ross taking the job of Dolphins owner Stephen Ross? Hopefully, the players didn’t think their jobs were in jeopardy when they were told to meet with Mr. Ross.

Finally, the Cowboys realized how crazy it was that within a four-year period, they drafted three offensive linemen in the first round with the first name Tyler. 10 out of 10 on this one. No notes.

If you’re a fan of the comedy movie Step Brothers, this is the release video for you. What a duo Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins are.

Jameis Winston attempting to speak French and draw logos? Sure, why not? Having one of the funniest players and arguably the biggest characters in all of football star in a schedule release video seems like a cheat to make these “best of” lists, but we’re not complaining.

Josh Allen needs to be featured in the Bills’ release videos for eternity. Now every football fan knows what a chrysalis is, and extra points for the shoutout to Scarborough, Ont. and Canadian fans.

The Titans weren’t the only team to go with a TikTok trend, but theirs was certainly the funniest. The Will Compton and Fernando Mendoza lookalikes were spot on, too.

Turning NFL teams into fragrances isn’t something we expected to see in schedule release videos, but here we are. Like all things NFL, expect the unexpected.
